AI Management System (AIMS)

As the use of products and services incorporating artificial intelligence (AI) continues to grow rapidly, ensuring their safe and secure use has become essential. Achieving this requires the appropriate development, provision, and use of AI systems through methods such as risk-based approaches.

The international standard that serves as the certification criteria for the AIMS Conformity Assessment Scheme, ISO/IEC 42001 Information technology — Artificial intelligence — Management system, specifies requirements for the appropriate development, provision, and use of AI systems. These include measures for managing various AI-related risks, as well as responses when such risks occur. By establishing and operating an AI Management System (AIMS) based on ISO/IEC 42001, organizations can be expected to achieve safer and more trustworthy development, provision, and use of AI systems.
